Which iPhones does Scripttake run on?
Any iPhone running iOS 27 or later. The outer-screen features (the talent screen, cues, and solo mode when you close the phone) need an iPhone Duo running iOS 27.1 or later. On any other iPhone, everything else works, and you can still try solo mode by hand from a shoot's steps.
The outer screen is blank. What do I do?
The outer screen only comes on while Scripttake is on the Framing or Recording screen with the camera running and the phone open. Open the shoot, go to Framing, and check that the camera is allowed in Settings, Scripttake. If it is still blank, force-quit Scripttake and open it again.
Does it need the internet?
No. Splitting, speech, face checks, captions and export all happen on your iPhone. Scripttake only goes online to check for updated platform safe-zone measurements, and to talk to the App Store when you buy or restore Scripttake Pro.
What is free and what is Pro?
Writing scripts, framing, recording, the outer-screen cues, solo mode and saving a rough cut to Photos are free for good. Smart script splitting, automatic take checks and captioned export for every platform are part of Scripttake Pro. Plans and prices are shown in the app before you buy.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Scripttake Pro. Cancel at least a day before the free trial ends to avoid being charged. Apple handles all billing, so we can't cancel for you.
I already bought Scripttake Pro. How do I get it back?
Open Scripttake, go to Settings, then Scripttake Pro, and tap Restore purchases. You need to be signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. A new iPhone works the same way.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase.
How do I delete my data?
Everything is on your iPhone. Swipe a shoot to the left and tap Delete to remove it with its takes and exports, or delete the app to remove everything. We hold nothing on a server, so there is nothing for us to delete.
A take was flagged but it looked fine to me.
Checks are a second pair of eyes, not a judge. A blink at the wrong moment, or a word said differently from the script, will be flagged. You decide what to keep. If a check is clearly wrong, tell us what happened.
